Kitchen Lighting Trends 2020: Accent Lamps in the Kitchen

Since we’ve all been spending so much time on Corona house arrest and we have all become professional chefs, I wanted to take time out to talk about a little trend I’m seeing and loving. The table lamp in the kitchen is really becoming the star of the show for me. Yeah, yeah the homemade bread comes in a close second but with everyone stuck staring at their 4 walls, its nice to participate in a little interior refresh and what better way then to play musical lamps and experience how lovely a little kitchen counter glow can be. If it’s good enough for Jeremiah, Nate and Athena, its good enough for me ya’ll.

Any one that knows me knows that I’m a slut for good lighting and therefore have a real unhealthy obsession with lamps. Any clean open surface close to an electrical socket is fair game and with every project I find an excuse to spend money on a pretty sculptural or textural lighting feature to fill any void. What I’m loving most these days are those surprise cutie accent lamps in the most unexpected of places. The kitchen counter is my most favorite unnecessary lamp location to date and I’ve been seeing it a lot more lately which makes me think I’m not the only one.

Check out how a little lamp can change the whole game and feast your eyes on these gorgeous spaces with one trend in common and tell me you care at all that these lamps are taking up valuable countertop real estate.

What better way to add some personalized visual flavor and soft spot lighting while chopping onions and sneaking another glass of wine in the evenings then with a killer table lamp!

ciao for now!
